No Bake Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

* 2 cups white sugar
* 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/2 cup margarine
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 pinch salt
* 3 cups quick cooking oats
* 1/2 cup peanut butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a saucepan bring sugar, cocoa, margarine, milk, and salt to a rapid boil for 1 minute.
2. Add quick cooking oats, peanut butter, and vanilla; mix well.
3. Working quickly, drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, and let cool.

I think these have to be my favoritest cookies ever! I made some a few nights ago....we (Mal, kids & me) managed to eat all but 5 in one sitting :) MMM!

I had to add this to my favorites since I have been putting off making these or someone else's version of them for ages. Thanks for posting the recipe!

I'm saving these... no time right now, but maybe it's something I can do with the kids while I'm in Virginia =) Thanks!

I hate you. It is 11:30 at night and I'm 3 Midori Sours to the wind and now I want fucking no-bake cookies and I have no oatmeal. Bah.

PS: Never try to use infant oatmeal to make no-bake cookies. It and real oats are not interchangable. You will just end up with chocolate-peanut butter-flavored goo. Trust me on this one.
